First Night
Dizziness ,suffocating noise of crowd chattering, journalist rushing with mic with several question none of things they asked was inaudible for me,passing all of them , They took me to hall of silence
Lawyers ,judges and lot of people around , i didn't know what they were talking about .Lawyers ask somethings to me, i kept silence , i never understand the way they speak , lot of terms and technicalities. My throat was getting dry, I wanted to ask if i would get a glass of water ,But i kept quiet , Judge remarked something and silence in air , They dragged me with chains , my Handcuffs then to a blue dark carriage
Big walls !! when i was a child passing through this large big walls on my way to school,i always looked them with admiration and curiosity, i used to think about the lucky people who live behind those big shady walls, Now first time - I am going see inside it, Shady untidy walls with shady life
Queue - I was made to stand in queue ,then they gave me yellowish number sealed uniform- A mat and Pillow, A room , i was alone with stinking toilet and drinking pot near by, all alone in a square cage
Day was coming to a end , behind the bar , i lean to see the sky and stars , it was getting darker,Darkness surrounded me ,i choked , something dreaded in me, why did they ??
what was the wrong i done?why i am here , millions of voices arose in me.Eyes were filled,tears made my beard wet, now i know the suffering of caged birds,its never ending long for freedom
It was my first night in jail, First night were always longest, darkest and saddest, lump on throat, pains creeps into heart
i again peeped into sky , it was still dark, first night are the longest
i wished if this night would end soon, across the horizon light ray of sunrise and hope, across the horizon ,flock of migrating birds fly,fly somwhere far.....
